The American Suspension Bolt on neck is patented., so they can’t copy the right way to make a neck.  

Only American Suspension necks are machined from a single chunk of aerospace quality aluminum, right here in the USA.   Other necks use a collection of bolted together parts.  Those kits are cumbersome at best and dangerous at worst.

Only American Suspension patented necks use race cups to take up the tolerances inherent in a production motorcycles neck.  Other necks use a bolt down the center of the neck to clamp their neck in place.  The problem is they may fit some necks perfect, but too loose in others.  The clamp action requires the metal to be overstressed to create a sufficient clamping force.
